What’s New — February 10, 2026

New

  • Milestone alerts — Get notified when a competitor crosses key thresholds: 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, 100K, 500K, or 1M active installs, and when their rating hits 4.0, 4.5, 4.8, or 5.0
  • Opportunity signals — Rivale now detects exploitable moments: rating drops, install stalls, and support quality degradation. Each signal fires once per 30-day window so you’re not spammed
  • Content-rich notifications — Changelog and README alerts now include a summary of what actually changed, categorized by type (new feature, bug fix, security, etc.). Works in both Slack and email

Improved

  • App loads noticeably faster — eliminated redundant data refetching on every tab switch, parallelized dashboard queries, and moved fonts to non-blocking loading
  • Subscription status checks reduced from every 60 seconds to every 5 minutes, cutting unnecessary API calls
  • Refreshed visual design — Plus Jakarta Sans headings, tighter layout density, and green accents on active navigation

Fixed

  • Super admin permissions now survive database migrations
  • “While You Were Away” summary now correctly shows events from the last 7 days instead of sometimes showing stale data
  • Compare page Content tab no longer shows empty state when viewing changelog comparisons
  • Activity feed now displays all event types including milestones, opportunity signals, and forum health changes (previously some events were missing from the feed)
  • Review auto-tagging expanded from 3 to 8 categories — low-star reviews now classify as Bug, Missing Feature, Poor Support, Performance Issue, UI/UX Complaint, Compatibility Issue, Documentation Gap, or Pricing/Value Concern (previously 80% were tagged as “Other”, now expected to drop to 30-40%)
