1. What Rivale.io is
Rivale.io is a competitive intelligence platform for WordPress plugin developers and founders. It monitors competitor plugins on WordPress.org and competitor marketing websites, categorizes what changed, and delivers intelligence inside the app and through the notification channels you connect.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information when you sign up. Each account is for one person or one organization. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, email legal@rivale.io immediately.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rivale.io.
3. Acceptable use
You may use Rivale.io for your own competitive intelligence purposes.
You may not:
- Scrape, export, or redistribute Rivale.io data at scale
- Resell access to Rivale.io or build competing products using data sourced from Rivale.io
- Use scripts, bots, or AI agents to access Rivale.io in ways that bypass its limits, extract data in bulk, or place load a person would not, except through interfaces we explicitly provide for automated access
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the methods, formulas, scoring logic, data pipeline, or system design behind Rivale.io, by any means
- Access Rivale.io, including through a free trial, to build a competing product, to study how it is built, or to benchmark it on behalf of a competitor
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice, including trial accounts opened to study or copy the platform rather than to use it.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Rivale.io offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is at rivale.io/pricing/.
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the recurring interval you selected.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you by email. Accounts with unresolved payment failures may lose access to paid features.
5. Free trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full Vantage-level access. No credit card is required to start.
At the end of the trial, you can choose a paid plan. You will not be charged automatically without entering payment information.
6. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until that date.
We do not issue refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you cancel an annual plan early, you retain access through the end of the paid year. Partial-year refunds are not available.
If you believe a charge was made in error, email support@rivale.io and we will review it.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of Rivale.io is governed by our Privacy Policy at rivale.io/privacy/. By using Rivale.io, you agree to the data practices described there.
8. Intellectual property
Rivale.io, its design, codebase, and systems are owned by Rivale.io. This includes the methods and formulas Rivale.io uses to detect, score, categorize, and interpret competitor activity, the design of its data pipeline, and the way it presents intelligence. These are proprietary to Rivale.io regardless of whether they can be observed while using the platform. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform while your account is active, and that license does not grant any right to reproduce, reconstruct, or build upon how Rivale.io works.
You own the data you bring to Rivale.io: your account information, the competitor URLs you add, and your configurations. You can request a copy of your data by emailing legal@rivale.io.
Third-party content and trademarks
The competitor data Rivale.io shows you comes from public sources: public APIs, marketing websites anyone can open, and similar sources. That data, and the plugins, themes, products, logos, and reviews it describes, belong to their respective owners. Rivale.io is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by WordPress.org, Automattic, WooCommerce, or any of the plugin developers whose products are tracked. All product names, logos, brands, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and their use in Rivale.io does not imply endorsement.
9. Limitations of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rivale.io is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Rivale.io builds its intelligence from publicly available data. We do not guarantee that this data is complete, real-time, or error-free. Decisions you make based on Rivale.io data are your responsibility.
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the total amount you paid Rivale.io during that period.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep Rivale.io reliable and to communicate planned maintenance and incidents clearly, but we do not guarantee uptime and there is no service level agreement.
11. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them. If you keep using Rivale.io after that date, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ticino, Switzerland.
