1. What Rivale is
Rivale.io is a competitive intelligence platform for WordPress plugin developers. It monitors competitor plugins on WordPress.org and competitor marketing websites, classifies changes using automated and AI-assisted categorization, and delivers intelligence through email, Slack, and an in-app interface.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information when you sign up. Each account is for one person or one organization. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, email support@rivale.io immediately.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rivale.io.
3. Acceptable use
You may use Rivale.io for your own competitive intelligence purposes.
You may not:
- Scrape, export, or redistribute Rivale data at scale
- Resell access to Rivale.io or build competing products using data sourced from Rivale
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Rivale platform outside of any API we explicitly provide
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Rivale offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is at rivale.io/pricing/.
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the recurring interval you selected.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you by email. Accounts with unresolved payment failures may lose access to paid features.
5. Free trial
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full Vantage-level access. No credit card is required to start.
At the end of the trial, you can choose a paid plan. You will not be charged automatically without entering payment information.
6. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until that date.
We do not issue refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you cancel an annual plan early, you retain access through the end of the paid year. Partial-year refunds are not available.
If you believe a charge was made in error, email support@rivale.io within 14 days and we will review it.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of Rivale.io is governed by our Privacy Policy at rivale.io/privacy/. By using Rivale, you agree to the data practices described there.
8. Intellectual property
Rivale.io, its design, codebase, and systems are owned by Rivale.io. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform while your account is active.
You own the data you bring to Rivale: your account information, the competitor URLs you add, and your configurations. You can request a copy of your data by emailing legal@rivale.io.
Competitor data that Rivale fetches from WordPress.org public APIs or publicly accessible marketing websites originates from those public sources. Rivale does not claim ownership of that underlying public data.
9. Limitations of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rivale.io is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Rivale provides competitive intelligence sourced from publicly available data. We do not guarantee that this data is complete, real-time, or error-free. Decisions you make based on Rivale data are your responsibility.
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the total amount you paid Rivale.io during that period.
10. Service availability
Rivale.io is in active development. We do not guarantee uptime or service availability. We aim to keep the platform reliable and communicate planned maintenance and incidents clearly.
There is no SLA during the beta period.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Rivale.io after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be riresolved in the courts of Ticino, Switzerland.
